Enter your ConnectWise site URL, company ID, API keys, and developer Client ID. Credentials are encrypted before storage.

Note-level write access is required to post generated Handover content back into ConnectWise. Handover does not modify, delete, or reassign existing ticket records beyond adding notes you choose to push.

How to add permissions in ConnectWise Manage

  1. Log into ConnectWise Manage as an administrator.
  2. Go to System → Members → API Members.
  3. Create or edit an API member for Handover.
  4. Under API keys, generate a public/private key pair and assign the security role that includes the permissions above.
  5. Register a free integrator Client ID at developer.connectwise.com and include it in API requests (Handover sends it automatically once saved).

Secure by design

Controlled write access

Handover uses read scopes to import data and note-write scopes only to add your generated content. It does not change ownership, status, or core ticket fields unless you explicitly use future push features.

Encrypted credentials

Your ConnectWise API keys are encrypted using AES-256 before being stored. Never stored in plain text.

Data not retained

Your ticket data is processed to generate outputs and is not stored on our servers after generation.
