Handover has been accepted into PitchIT 2026 — ConnectWise’s global accelerator for MSP-focused software. For a small product team, that is a significant milestone. It is also a good moment to share how an MSP SaaS came together at eighteen, alongside a full-time technical programme management role — and what we hope it means for customers.
This post covers what PitchIT is, how Handover started, what we are building, why the programme matters, and what comes next — including how you can try the product while we are on that journey.
What is PitchIT?
PitchIT is ConnectWise’s accelerator for founders building tools that solve real problems for MSPs. Cohorts receive mentorship, go-to-market support, and visibility within the MSP ecosystem — alongside peers who understand recurring revenue, partner channels, and the pace of PSA roadmaps.
For users, programmes like this are a signal that a vendor is serious about long-term integration depth, security posture, and partner fit — not a weekend wrapper around a generic model. Accelerators do not guarantee success, but they do concentrate feedback: you ship, you listen, you adjust, on a cadence that matches how MSPs actually buy.
How Handover started
Handover began from lived frustration. As a TPM inside delivery, whilst still eighteen, the founder kept seeing the same pattern: brilliant work in HaloPSA and ConnectWise, followed by late nights turning ticket notes into client-safe language. The data was already there; the “last mile” to a professional update was where time vanished — and where small mistakes had outsized impact on client confidence.
Rather than accept that as inevitable overhead, the question became whether you could connect the PSA directly to a generation layer that respects MSP tone, structure, and compliance — and do it fast enough to use every week, not only on special occasions.
Building in public whilst employed full time is not glamorous. It means early mornings, disciplined scope, and ruthless prioritisation. It also means staying close to real tickets and real PMs, so the product does not drift into generic “AI slides” territory.
What we are building
Handover is purpose-built client reporting for MSPs: pull live ticket and project data, generate action logs, risk registers, status narratives, client emails, and exportable packs in seconds, with scheduling and portal delivery where teams need them. Integrations are first-class on HaloPSA and ConnectWise because that is where MSP truth lives — not in a disconnected spreadsheet that ages the moment you export it.
The goal is not to replace your PSA or your PMs — it is to remove the blank-page tax so delivery leaders can review, send, and move on. Automation handles repetition; humans handle relationship and edge cases.
We care about push-back and scheduling because reporting that never lands in the ticket history is reporting that did not happen for operational purposes — only for the inbox.
What PitchIT means for Handover
Accelerator backing sharpens product focus and go-to-market discipline. For customers, it should translate into tighter ConnectWise alignment, faster iteration on partner feedback, and clearer documentation as we scale alongside larger MSP accounts.
It also places Handover in a community of buyers and builders who care deeply about outcomes — a useful forcing function for roadmap honesty. If a feature does not survive scrutiny from people who run MSPs daily, it should not ship.
What’s next
We will keep shipping: deeper workflows around scheduled reporting, client portal polish, and the kinds of quality improvements you only see once real MSPs stress-test week after week.
