Handover is joining PitchIT 2026 — here's why we applied

5 min read

Handover has been accepted into PitchIT 2026 — ConnectWise's global accelerator programme for MSP software companies. We're one of a small cohort of founders selected from across the MSP ecosystem, and we'll be pitching live at IT Nation Connect in Orlando in November.

This felt like a good moment to write down what we're actually building and why.

What is PitchIT?

PitchIT is ConnectWise's annual accelerator for software companies building in the MSP space. It's a 16-week programme that covers go-to-market strategy, channel growth, pitch coaching, and product development — run by some of the most experienced people in the managed services industry.

At the end of the programme, the top three companies pitch live on stage at IT Nation Connect Global in Orlando, Florida, in front of MSPs, vendors, investors, and industry leaders. First place takes home $30,000 in cash and $75,000 in IT Nation sponsorship credit.

It's a serious programme. Being accepted matters.

The problem we're solving

MSP engineers spend hours every week writing client reports manually. Action logs, risk registers, status updates, client emails — all of it built by hand from data that already exists in their PSA.

The average MSP engineer spends two to four hours a day on client communication and reporting. That's billable time written off. Every week. For every client.

The data is already in HaloPSA or ConnectWise. It just never gets turned into anything automatically. Engineers copy ticket notes into emails, rebuild Excel docs from scratch, check everything is consistent, and send. Then do it all again next week.

This isn't a technology problem. The APIs exist. The data exists. The problem is that nobody had built a tool specifically for MSPs that connected the two.

What Handover does

Handover connects natively to HaloPSA and ConnectWise, pulls live ticket and project data, and generates professional client outputs in 30 seconds. Action logs, risk registers, status reports, QBR packs, and client emails — formatted and ready to send, or pushed straight back to the PSA as a note automatically.

Scheduled reports go out automatically on whatever cadence the MSP sets — weekly, fortnightly, monthly — without anyone touching them. The engineer writes the update in HaloPSA. Handover does the rest.

We're live on the HaloPSA Technology Alliance Partner marketplace and the ConnectWise marketplace. Built end to end as a solo founder while working full time as a Technical Project Manager at an MSP — because I lived this problem every single day.

Why we applied to PitchIT

Handover solves a real problem for a specific audience. The MSP channel has its own language, its own buying behaviour, and its own community. PitchIT puts you in front of the people who understand that — and the people who can help you reach them at scale.

The coaching on go-to-market strategy is the most valuable part for where we are right now. Building the product is the part I know how to do. Selling it through the channel at scale is the part I want to learn from people who've done it before.

There's also something to be said for being in a room with other founders building in the same space. The cohort alone is worth it.

What's next

Sixteen weeks of programme, then Orlando in November. We'll be sharing updates along the way — product milestones, things we're learning, and what it's like building an MSP SaaS at 18 while going through an accelerator.

If you're an MSP spending time on client reporting every week, Handover is worth trying. It takes about 30 seconds to see what it does.
